PCCA stands with many others in construction and other industries in opposing OSHA’s revisions to the Improve Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses final rule. Unfortunately, this new rule, which reverses beneficial changes made in 2019, puts back into effect and expands upon harmful provisions that put employees and their employers at risk by forcing them to make public sensitive information about their employees and their workplace.
During the 78th Annual PCCA Convention in Miami Beach, Fla., the PCCA Education & Research Foundation announced the recipients of its 2023-2024 scholarships:
These 4-year, $10,000 scholarships are open to the children and other dependents of PCCA-member employees.

Connor Keenan, Waunakee, Wis., Mechanical Engineering (Infrasource)
Jack McDermott, St. Charles, Ill., Construction Engineer (Dura-Line)
Caitlynn Wohlford, Bonney Lake, Wash., Undecided/STEM (LTS Managed Technical Services)

May 25, 2023 - Reps. María Elvira Salazar (R-Fla.) and Veronica Escobar (D-Tex.) introduced an updated version of the Dignity Act this week to address our nation’s broken immigration system. The Power & Communication Association and its members fully support this legislation as a strong yet fair way to address the critical worker shortage that significantly impedes our industry and the American economy.
"PCCA members work every day to close the digital divide and strengthen America's power grid, but we desperately need workers to finish the job," PCCA Chairman Ed Campbell, Quanta Services, said. "The Dignity Act is a well-balanced, common-sense approach that addresses all the immigration challenges. It tackles the workforce issue while also investing billions in border security measures, overhauling our failed asylum processes, and improving the legal immigration system."
