During last week's 74th Annual PCCA Convention on St. Kitts, the PCCA Education & Research Foundation announced the recipients of its 2019-2020 scholarships: Joseph W. Ives, Wheaton, Ill.; Koyte Winemiller, Huber Heights, Ohio; Peyton R. Lewis, Cypress, Texas; and Rian S. Lamarque, LeClaire, Iowa.

PCCA received 59 applications representing 23 member companies this year, and four applicants from last year renewed their submissions. The winners were selected by the PCCA Scholarship Committee, which is comprised of past association presidents.

The scholarships provide $2,500 per year for children and other dependents of PCCA members and their employees. Students selected as scholarship recipients can receive up to $10,000 (for those attending a four-year school) or $5,000 (for those attending a two-year program).

The Scholarship Committee added a fourth scholarship this year due to a strong fundraising year, highlighted by a $50,000 matching donation by Rod Henkels, Henkels & McCoy, during the 2018 PCCA Auction. PCCA members at the auction donated the $50,000 to be matched in a matter of minutes.

This Year's Winners

Joseph Ives, a three-sport varsity athlete, graduates from Wheaton Warrenville South High School this year and will study Engineering at Michigan State University. His father, Kevin, is a manager at Henkels & McCoy.

Koyte Winemiller, from Team Fishel in Ohio, will graduate from Wayne High School. He plans to major in Computer Science at Northern Kentucky University.

Peyton R. Lewis, affiliated with Mears Group, graduated from Cy Fair High School in 2018 and now studies Business/Construction Science at Texas State, where he has a 3.21 GPA.

Rian S. Lamarque, from John Deere Construction & Forestry Company, will graduate this year from Pleasant Valley High School. He currently has a 3.66 GPA and intends to study Computer Science at Iowa State University.
