News From PCCA...
The Power & Communication Contractors Association has voiced strong concerns with the sweeping new federal vaccine requirements laid out by President Biden on September 9, noting that the mandates "will lead to unnecessary job cuts and resignations at a time when the expansion of several infrastructure markets is within reach and construction workers are needed most."
"While there may be varying opinions about vaccinations, PCCA is not anti-vaccine," PCCA Chairman Bob Breeden said. "What we do oppose is vaccination mandates coming from the federal government."

Members of the Power & Communication Contractors Association (PCCA) have been contacting their federal Representatives and Senators in early March to share their strong opposition to the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act. PCCA has long represented the interests of those who build and maintain America’s electric power and broadband infrastructure, and its members believe that the PRO Act (H.R. 842) would have serious negative consequences on the U.S. economy and American workers.
PCCA encourages all of its members to submit data into the Common Ground Alliance's annual DIRT (Damage Information and Reporting Tool) Report, a document that estimates and analyzes damages to buried utilities across the country.
The March 31 deadline to submit 2020 DIRT data is fast approaching. CGA encourages submissions to be made as soon as possible so that you can be a part of the damage prevention story. Submit your 2020 damage or near-miss data by visiting www.identity.cga-dirt.com. If this is your first time submitting to DIRT, click here to register for an account.
