Tuesday, March 10 Contractors Breakfast 8 - 9 am Associates Breakfast Meeting 8 - 9 am PCCA’s Associate members hold a roundtable discussion on topics that affect manufacturers and suppliers in our industry. We will also review the Contractor/Associate Exhibit, other convention activities, and ways they can be improved to further benefit everyone involved. General Session Panel Discussions 9 - 11:45 am This fast-paced and frank discussion moves through the various sectors of power and communications construction and elicits thoughtful insights and candid opinions from contractors and associates working throughout North America as well as from experts representing legislators, federal agencies, and other industry groups who work closely with PCCA. All members are encouraged to attend and to participate in the discussion. We want to hear from you! Economic Issues Panel 9 - 10 am FMI’s Dan Shumate and Continuum Capital’s Mark Bridgers lead a discussion on the myriad factors impacting the national economy and the markets in which PCCA members work. Their in-depth knowledge of construction markets, owner concerns, mergers & acquisitions, and other financial topics, combined with their ability to convey difficult topics to laypeople and professionals alike, makes them intriguing speakers. Break 10 - 10:15 am Government & Industry Issues Panel 10:15 - 11:45 am Moderated by PCCA Government Affairs Committee Chair John Fluharty with Ben Brubeck and Jaime Steve, this session details the committee’s recent initiatives, maps out its upcoming activities, and asks members about the issues that are affecting their businesses. Invited guests from government and industry will provide brief reports on issues relevant to power and broadband construction. Catamaran Tour w/ Lunch 12 - 5 pm The PCCA crew will head to the docks at Bahia Mar Marina, board the Caribbean Spirit, the largest day sailing catamaran in North America, and then cruise down the Intracoastal Waterway to stop at a sandbar to swim and have lunch. A buffet lunch, soft drinks, and beer & wine will be served. Next, it’s sails out in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Our course is set for a picturesque anchorage where the water is turquoise. A variety of water toys will be available. $250 includes transportation, guides, lunch, soft drinks, water, beer and wine, water toys, towels, taxes and gratuities. Board of Directors Wrap-up Meeting 5:45 - 6:45 pm Open to PCCA Board of Directors only. Final Party and Hall of Fame Awards 7 - 9:30 pm Join PCCA in the beautiful waterfront Grand Ballroom for dinner, the annual changing of the guard, the PCCA Hall of Fame Awards, live entertainment, and dancing.
