PCCA Urges House to Pass SPEED Act

PCCA sent a letter to House leadership this week supporting permitting reforms in the SPEED Act that would shorten permitting timelines, reduce frivolous litigation, and clarify when NEPA analysis is required, making it easier for pipeline contractors to build the infrastructure Americans depend on.

"When attempting to maintain and build critical power and communication infrastructure, PCCA member contractors report needless delays, bureaucratic red tape, and uncertainty as a result of the National Environmental Policy Act," PCCA wrote.

"PCCA urges swift passage of the SPEED Act, expected on the House floor this week, because it supports power and communications infrastructure and lowers costs for families by increasing efficiency, public transparency, and accountability in the infrastructure permitting process."
