Readers: Since 1945, the Power & Communication Contractors Association (PCCA) has represented the national interests of contractors working in power and communication construction. PCCA currently represents 350 member companies constructing electric power facilities, including transmission and distribution lines and substations, and telephone, fiber optic, and cable television systems. PCCA Journal mails to the contractors who are doing 80 percent of this work in the United States. Other business activities of PCCA members include intelligent traffic systems, local area and premise wiring, security, renewable energy (wind and solar), water and sewer utilities, and gas and oil pipelines. PCCA also represents the manufacturers and suppliers who provide the products and services that help these projects succeed.
Editorial Focus: Each issue of PCCA Journal explores the vast world of power and communication construction and covers topics developed by the association members. Articles are written by industry experts who understand the unique challenges faced by power and communication contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
